About
Elizabeth Sparks-Holmes
For more than 23 years, Missouri has been home for Elizabeth Sparks-Holmes. The St. Louis area is where she and her husband, Creighton, raised their son, Creighton Jr., and where their roots grew deep in the beautiful Meramec River valley. Elizabeth originally comes from Fort Worth, Texas, where she was raised by parents who were deeply involved in their church and community. Her father, Harold "Hal" Sparks, served for 25 years on the Tarrant Regional Water District board, finishing his tenure as Vice President of the Water District. His example taught Elizabeth that protecting water resources, sustaining rivers, lakes, and streams, and planning responsibly for future generations are serious public duties. Her mother's life also shaped Elizabeth's sense of service. Through faith, resilience, teaching, hospice volunteering, and writing, Elizabeth's mother showed her how personal hardship can become compassion for others. That example gave Elizabeth a special connection to people and families affected by trauma, depression, mental-health struggles, and moments of crisis. After studying at Randolph-Macon Woman's College and Texas Christian University, Elizabeth moved to Missouri, built a family, and embraced a state that quickly became home. For years, her focus was clear: raising her son with faith, values, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for the land and community around him. Now that Creighton Jr. has graduated from Belmont University and is building his life in Nashville, Elizabeth feels called to serve in a new way. She is stepping forward to give back to the community that has given her family so much. Elizabeth's decision to run for Congress grew out of conversations with neighbors, business owners, caregivers, seniors, and families around the region. One message came through clearly: too many Missourians feel alone right now. They want a representative who not only listens, but responds - with respect, urgency, and results. Elizabeth is running to be a strong voice for working families, seniors, veterans, small businesses, caregivers, people facing mental-health challenges, and every Missourian who believes Washington should be more accountable to the people who pay the bills. Her campaign is built on accessibility, service, common sense, and shared values. Elizabeth believes the Spirit of St. Louis can be carried to Washington by building bridges, not enemies, and by focusing on one family, one neighborhood, and one district at a time. Because we are all in this together.
